THE FIRST STORIES are the beginning, beginning of the GHC, which comes screaming out of the womb of creation and, through awkward fits and embarrassing shits, gives an indication of its multiple (and psychotic) personalities. Characters and their motivations -- or lack thereof -- begin. None represent the best of what we've written, but most of the GHC's later storylines find their origins here. That, and there's just some moments that are priceless. The first GHC story which gave rise to this entire morass is Daring Escapades, which Doom Bunny and Upright wrote by taking turns writing individual sentences -- a far cry from the several pages we'd eventually churn out in later stories before handing it to the next writer. Hippie Freak's debut was Mummy Love, though you see him first in With a Body Like This.
THE DARKEST DAY is brought to you by Upright and Hippie Freak, and it was just too long to do anything with other than give it its own section, so piss off!
THE THIRD WAVE explores the, ahem, "heroes" of the GHC, throwing flesh on the skeletons created in the early stories.
TALES OF THE DUCK gives a lot of background of the GHC universe.
PRELUDE TO DESTRUCTION is what you think it is, so there.
THE 2ND GOBI CAMPAIGN yadda yadda yadda
TALES OF THE GHC yadda yadda yadda
GRUNION GUY THEATER is an oh-my-god-what-in-god's-name-is-this experience. |
