#27: "I Wonder if Nick Needs a Roommate?" One night during college while several of us were living together in an off-campus apartment, a small spider crawled across Hugo's face while he was sleeping. Most people would have swatted the spider away or maybe even ignored it. Not Hugo! Hugo panicked. Click went the light, and Hugo tore off the covers on his bed, searching for the evil spider. Alas, the spider eluded him! So Hugo decided to sleep with the light on the rest of the night, propped up on one elbow so that he could survey the bed more easily--much to the chagrin of his roommate who had to share a room with him! What's more, Hugo convinced himself that he had never seen a spider in his old dorm room on campus, so he seriously contemplated calling our friend Nick to see if he could sleep on Nick's dorm room floor for the rest of the semester.
